What Is Supported Independent Living (SIL)

SIL is an NDIS funded support that assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, either in shared homes or individual residences.
It is not about doing tasks for participants. It is about building capacity, strengthening decision making skills and supporting active community engagement.

• Understanding and implementing individual Epilepsy Management Plans, including emergency responses and monitoring
• Positive Behaviour Support, with RVP registered to deliver restrictive practices safely and in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards guidelines
• Wound and skin care, including pressure area management
• Enteral feeding support, including PEG or NG tube care
• Ongoing regular professional development to continually upgrade skills and remain compliant with NDIS best practice

We also coordinate closely with participants families, behaviour support practitioners, allied health providers, medical practitioners, support coordinators and plan managers to ensure SIL funding is used appropriately and effectively so participants receive the greatest benefit from their NDIS plans.
